Here we go!!!

One Last Hurrah!

The girls and I headed down to VA for one last summer visit (hard to believe I've been down once a month for four months!!). It was a good time.

We did a little ballooning with the cousins, Uncle J, and G-pa . . .

met new friends!! Welcome baby N!

And celebrated a couple of very special birthdays!! Happy Birthday JT and E!

It really was a great trip but I am also so glad to be home. The weather is beautiful here and I'm ready to settle in and relax . . . let's hope the nesting instinct kicks in soon!!!

Lunch

Here's what I had for lunch.

my changes:
veggie broth for chicken
cranberries for raisins
slightly more vinegar and olive oil than called for
apple cider + maple vinegar for red-wine
5 smallish carrots, shredded

perfect beach day

We spent the morning on an almost empty First Beach in Newport. The weather was beautiful and from what I hear - the waves were great . . . (I failed to get a good shot) The girls had so much fun just running and digging and napping and dancing . . .
